Isle of Man born, I moved to California and raised a wonderful family. Returning every year, I continue my favourite pastime – walking in the beautiful Manx countryside and showing off the island to visiting friends.
Friends and family kept saying: “You should start a walking tour guide business" - and so Manx Walks was born. I had a fantastic few years guiding walks with people from near and far as a business, but now I'm back to walking as a favourite pastime and also looking forward to leading walks as a volunteer for the Archibald Knox Foundation's Big Event "Isle of Knox, Order & Beauty".
There is a Manx expression, 'Traa dy Liooar' [Time Enough] and it is in that spirit I encourage you to join one of the 11 walks I will be leading in our beautiful land, Ellan Vannin and discover how the Island's rich heritage, spirituality and natural beauty shaped Knox's timeless work..
