Start Point: Car park at Sulby Claddagh
Price £20, plus optional donation. Book through Manx National Heritage
Description: Knox lived in Sulby village from 1902 to 1905 and drew inspiration from the dramatic Sulby valley which dominates the view as you look towards the hills. Along the main road, which is part of the TT course, we will see Knox’s studio and house (now called Brookville and Brookdale). A little further along the road is Mill Race Cottage, the grounds of which were once Knox’s “half acre of gold” marigolds.  Across the road is a house called Harbor Springs, that was once the post and telegraph office. He worshipped at St Stephen’s church. After walking through the village, we will walk a short distance into the Sulby valley which has seen little changes since Knox’s time.
