10am – 1pm, 17th August 2025 or 5th October 2025
Start Point: Sulby Reservoir Car Park
Price £20, plus optional donation. Book through Manx National Heritage
Description: Magnificent Sulby Valley! Views of Snaefell, Slieu Managh, the Michael Hills, and Mount Karran. We will walk down into the valley from the reservoir, then up through the glen to a site where there are two tholtans, the remnants of a once prosperous farming community, a Keeill and a covered well. There are no Knox watercolours in our collection showing this area. However, Knox must have known the valley well and you are walking where he would have walked before the reservoir was constructed between 1979 and 1982.
